Meet Daniela

Hello there... I'm Daniela Bosler and I am junior here at Cal State San Marcos. I was born in Palm Springs and grew up in La Quinta most of my life. I lived in the same house there up until I graduated from high school at 17. I attended all my public schooling in La Quinta from kindergarten through high school and after graduation moved here to North County San Diego to attended CSUSM. I have been here for almost three years now and I love it! I live right across from the ocean…definitely nicer than the 120 degree summers I grew up with! I am a psychology major and plan on pursuing communication disorders to become a speech pathologist. I currently work as a nanny as well as teach an after school speech based reading program.
When it comes to technology I always feel pretty knowledgeable. I am a proud Mac user and am able to keep up with technology. However compared to the growing technological spectrum I am sure I am no were near the realm of expert. I know enough to get me through the little that I do on my computer but over all I really enjoy technology and feel that it has so many helpful and fun uses.
The portion of the mission statement that speaks to me the most is the use of the word diversity. In education diversity is key whether the diversity of our cultures or the diversity of each individuals’ learning styles. By accepting these differences and preparing ourselves to work with these differences we will help better accept these individuals.

  1. Very interesting!!1 You have your whole life ahead of you and it sounds like you have a great plan :) Palm Springs, I visited there last summer & loved it. The puppy & my kids not so much. Being that I live my adult life in North Carolina, I like it hot & hotter :)

  2. Sounds like you have it all planned out. I too was a Psychology major (I graduated last summer from UCSD) and am here at CSUSM to try to get into Speech Pathology in the fall. I have just a few pre-reqs to finish this semester and summer. Diversity probably was the only thing that stood out to me too, sounds like an overall good mission statement.

  3. Hey Daniela, I'm a Libra too...yay for Libra girls!!! That's interesting you have to take this class for your major. Speech Pathology sounds awesome. Would you be working with adults or children, or both?

That is so cool that you are a nanny! I love kids:) I am jealous that you live so close to the ocean! My major is very similar to psychology! I am now your official row partner! I"ll try not to ask too many Qs:P
